KJV : Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name [was] Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power.
YLT : And there is a man of Benjamin, and his name [is] Kish, son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Bechorath, son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, mighty of valour,

ERVEN : Kish was an important man from the tribe of Benjamin. He was the son of Abiel. Abiel was the son of Zeror. Zeror was the son of Becorath. Becorath was the son of Aphiah, a man from Benjamin.

BNV : কীশের একজন পুত্র ছিল, তার নাম শৌল| সুদর্শন যুবক শৌলের মতো এত সুন্দর আর কেউ ছিল না| ইস্রায়েলের সকলের চেয়ে সে ছিল মাথায় লম্বা|
KJV : And he had a son, whose name [was] Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and [there was] not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward [he was] higher than any of the people.
YLT : and he hath a son, and his name [is] Saul, a choice youth and goodly, and there is not a man among the sons of Israel goodlier than he -- from his shoulder and upward, higher than any of the people.

ERVEN : Kish had a son named Saul, who was a handsome young man. There was no one more handsome than Saul. He stood a head taller than any other man in Israel.

BNV : একদিন কীশের গাধা হারিয়ে গেলে তিনি তাঁর পুত্র শৌলকে বললেন, “একজন ভৃত্যকে নিয়ে গাধাগুলো খুঁজে আনো|”
KJV : And the asses of Kish Saul’s father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses.
YLT : And the asses of Kish, father of Saul, are lost, and Kish saith unto Saul his son, `Take, I pray thee, with thee, one of the young men, and rise, go, seek the asses.`
RV : And the asses of Kish Saul-s father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses.
RSV : Now the asses of Kish, Saul's father, were lost. So Kish said to Saul his son, "Take one of the servants with you, and arise, go and look for the asses."
ASV : And the asses of Kish, Sauls father, were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses.
ESV : Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul's father, were lost. So Kish said to Saul his son, "Take one of the young men with you, and arise, go and look for the donkeys."
ERVEN : One day, Kish's donkeys got lost. So he said to his son Saul, "Take one of the servants and go look for the donkeys."

BNV : শৌল গাধাগুলো খুঁজতে বেরিয়ে গেল| সে ইফ্রয়িম পাহাড়ের মধ্যে এবং শালিশার আশেপাশের জায়গার মধ্যে দিয়ে গেল| কিন্তু শৌল আর তার ভৃত্য গাধাগুলো খুঁজে পেল না| এবার তারা শালীমের দিকে হাঁটা শুরু করল, সেদিকেও গাধাগুলোর খোঁজ পেল না| অগত্যা শৌল বিন্যামীনদের দেশের দিকে রওনা হল| এমনকি সেখানেও তারা গাধাগুলো খুঁজে পেল না|
KJV : And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found [them] not: then they passed through the land of Shalim, and [there they were] not: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they found [them] not.
YLT : And he passeth over through the hill-country of Ephraim, and passeth over through the land of Shalisha, and they have not found; and they pass over through the land of Shaalim, and they are not; and he passeth over through the land of Benjamin, and they have not found.
RV : And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they found them not: then they passed through the land of Shaalim, and there they were not: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they found them not.

ESV : And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they did not find them. And they passed through the land of Shaalim, but they were not there. Then they passed through the land of Benjamin, but did not find them.
ERVEN : Saul went to look for the donkeys. He walked through the hills of Ephraim and through the area around Shalisha. But Saul and the servant could not find Kish's donkeys. So they went to the area around Shaalim, but the donkeys were not there either. Then Saul traveled through the land of Benjamin, but he and the servant still could not find the donkeys.

BNV : অবশেষে শৌল ও তার ভৃত্য সূফ শহরে এল| শৌল ভৃত্যটিকে বলল, “চল আমরা বাড়ী ফিরি| আমার পিতা গাধাগুলোর জন্য চিন্তা থামিয়ে তার পরিবর্তে আমাদের নিয়ে দুশ্চিন্তা শুরু করবেন|”
KJV : [And] when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that [was] with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave [caring] for the asses, and take thought for us.
YLT : They have come in unto the land of Zuph, and Saul hath said to his young man who [is] with him, `Come, and we turn back, lest my father leave off from the asses, and hath been sorrowful for us.`
RV : When they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come and let us return; lest my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us.
RSV : When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, "Come, let us go back, lest my father cease to care about the asses and become anxious about us."
ASV : When they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return, lest my father leave off caring for the asses, and be anxious for us.
ESV : When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, "Come, let us go back, lest my father cease to care about the donkeys and become anxious about us."
ERVEN : Finally, Saul and the servant came to the town named Zuph. Saul said to his servant, "Let's go back. My father will stop worrying about the donkeys and start worrying about us."

BNV : ভৃত্যটি বলল, “এই শহরেই ঈশ্বরের একজন ভাববাদী রযেছেন যাকে লোকরা খুবই ভক্তি করে| তিনি যা বলেন তাই সত্য হয়| চলুন আমরা শহরের ভেতরে যাই| তিনি হয়তো আমাদের বলে দিতে পারেন, এরপর আমাদের কোথায় যেতে হবে|”
KJV : And he said unto him, Behold now, [there is] in this city a man of God, and [he is] an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.
YLT : And he saith to him, `Lo, I pray thee, a man of God [is] in this city, and the man is honoured; all that he speaketh doth certainly come; now, we go there, it may be he doth declare to us our way on which we have gone.`
RV : And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is a man that is held in honour; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can tell us concerning our journey whereon we go.
RSV : But he said to him, "Behold, there is a man of God in this city, and he is a man that is held in honor; all that he says comes true. Let us go there; perhaps he can tell us about the journey on which we have set out."
ASV : And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is a man that is held in honor; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can tell us concerning our journey whereon we go.
ESV : But he said to him, "Behold, there is a man of God in this city, and he is a man who is held in honor; all that he says comes true. So now let us go there. Perhaps he can tell us the way we should go."
ERVEN : But the servant answered, "A man of God is in this town. People respect him. Everything he says comes true, so let's go into town. Maybe the man of God will tell us where we should go next."

BNV : শৌল তাকে বলল, “বেশ, আমরা নয় শহরের ভেতরে ঢুকলাম; কিন্তু তাকে আমরা কি দিতে পারি? তাকে দেবার মত কোন উপহার তো আমাদের হাতে নেই| এমন কি আমাদের ঝুলিতে খাদ্যদ্রব্যও শেষ| কি দেব তাকে?”
KJV : Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, [if] we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and [there is] not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?
YLT : And Saul saith to his young man, `And lo, we go, and what do we bring in to the man? for the bread hath gone from our vessels, and a present there is not to bring in to the man of God -- what [is] with us?`
RV : Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?
RSV : Then Saul said to his servant, "But if we go, what can we bring the man? For the bread in our sacks is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What have we?"
ASV : Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?

ERVEN : Saul said to his servant, "Sure, we can go into town, but what can we give to him? We have no gift to give the man of God. Even the food in our bags is gone. What can we give him?"

BNV : ভৃত্যটি শৌলকে বলল, “শোন, আমার কাছে য়ত্‌সামান্য কিছু অর্থ আছে, সেটা আমি ঈশ্বরের লোককে দেব| তিনিই আমাদের রাস্তা বলে দেবেন|”
KJV : And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: [that] will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
YLT : And the young man addeth to answer Saul, and saith, `Lo, there is found with me a fourth of a shekel of silver: and I have given to the man of God, and he hath declared to us our way.`
RV : And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Beheld, I have in my hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
RSV : The servant answered Saul again, "Here, I have with me the fourth part of a shekel of silver, and I will give it to the man of God, to tell us our way."
ASV : And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have in my hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
ESV : The servant answered Saul again, "Here, I have with me a quarter of a shekel of silver, and I will give it to the man of God to tell us our way."
ERVEN : Again the servant answered Saul. "Look, I have a little bit of money. Let's give it to the man of God. Then he will tell us where we should go."

BNV : শৌল বলল, “ভাল কথা, তাহলে চলো|” তাই তারা সেই শহরে গেল, যেখানে ঈশ্বরের ভাববাদী থাকত|শৌল ও তার ভৃত্যটি পর্বতের পথ দিয়ে শহরের দিকে যাচ্ছিল| সেই সময় য়ুবতীরা জল নেওয়ার জন্য বের হয়ে আসছে দেখে তারা জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “দর্শনকারী কি এই জায়গায় রযেছেন?” (অতীতে ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা ভাববাদীকে “দর্শনকারী” বলেও ডাকত| তাই ঈশ্বরের কাছে কিছু বিষযে প্রশ্ন করতে চাইলে তারা বলত, “চলো দর্শনকারীর কাছে যাই|”)
KJV : (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for [he that is] now [called] a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
YLT : Formerly in Israel, thus said the man in his going to seek God, `Come and we go unto the seer,` for the `prophet` of to-day is called formerly `the seer.`
RV : (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, thus he said, Come and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)

ERVEN : Saul said to his servant, "That is a good idea. Let's go." So they went to the town where the man of God was. Saul and the servant were walking up the hill toward town when they met some young women on the road. The young women were coming out to get water. Saul and the servant asked the young women, "Is the seer here?" (In the past, people in Israel called a prophet a "seer." So if they wanted to ask something from God, they would say, "Let's go to the seer.")

KJV : Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God [was.]
YLT : And Saul saith to his young man, `Thy word [is] good; come, we go;` and they go unto the city where the man of God [is].
RV : Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.
RSV : And Saul said to his servant, "Well said; come, let us go." So they went to the city where the man of God was.

KJV : [And] as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here?
YLT : They are going up in the ascent of the city, and have found young women going out to draw water, and say to them, `Is the seer in this [place]?`
RV : As they went up the ascent to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here?
RSV : As they went up the hill to the city, they met young maidens coming out to draw water, and said to them, "Is the seer here?"

BNV : য়ুবতীরা উত্তর দিলো, “হ্যাঁ, দর্শনকারী এখানেই আছেন| তিনি ওখানে আছেন, তোমাদের আগে| তিনি আজ এই শহরে এসেছেন| কিছু লোক মঙ্গল নৈবেদ্য উত্সর্গ করার জন্য আজ উপাসনা স্থানে সমবেত হচ্ছে|
KJV : And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, [he is] before you: make haste now, for he came to day to the city; for [there is] a sacrifice of the people to day in the high place:
YLT : And they answer them and say, `He is; lo, before thee! haste, now, for to-day he hath come in to the city, for the people hath a stated sacrifice in a high place.
RV : And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, {cf15i he is} before thee: make haste now, for he is come today into the city; for the people have a sacrifice today in the high place:

ERVEN : The young women answered, "Yes, the seer is here. He is just up the road. He came to town today. Some people are meeting together today to share in a fellowship offering at the place for worship.

BNV : তাই শহরে গেলে তোমরা তাঁর দেখা পাবে| যদি তোমরা দ্রুত পথ চল তবে তিনি উপাসনার স্থানে খেতে বসার আগেই তোমরা তাঁর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাত্‌ করতে পারবে| দর্শনকারী নৈবেদ্য বলি আশীর্বাদ করেন| তাই তিনি সেখানে না পৌঁছানো পর্য়ন্ত লোকে খেতে বসবে না| তাড়াতাড়ি পথ চললে তোমরা দর্শনকারীর দেখা পাবে|”
KJV : As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; [and] afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him.
YLT : At your going in to the city so ye do find him, before he doth go up in to the high place to eat; for the people do not eat till his coming, for he doth bless the sacrifice; afterwards they eat, who are called, and now, go up, for at this time ye find him.`

ERVEN : So go into town and you will find him. If you hurry, you can catch him before he goes up to eat at the place for worship. The seer blesses the sacrifice, so the people won't begin eating until he gets there. If you hurry, you can find him."

BNV : শৌল ও তার ভৃত্য শহরে যাবার জন্যে পাহাড়ে উঠলে, শহরে ঢোকার সময়ই তারা দেখল শমূয়েল তাদের দিকেই আসছে| শমূয়েল তখন সবে উপাসনার স্থানে যাবার জন্যে বের হয়েছে|
KJV : And they went up into the city: [and] when they were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out against them, for to go up to the high place.
YLT : And they go up in to the city; they are coming in to the midst of the city, and lo, Samuel is coming out to meet them, to go up to the high place;
RV : And they went up to the city; {cf15i and} as they came within the city, behold, Samuel came out against them, for to go up to the high place.
RSV : So they went up to the city. As they were entering the city, they saw Samuel coming out toward them on his way up to the high place.

ERVEN : Saul and the servant started walking up the hill to town. Just as they came into town, they saw Samuel coming out of town, walking toward them. He was on his way to the place for worship.

BNV : এর আগের দিন প্রভু শমূয়েলকে বলেছিলেন,
KJV : Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,
YLT : and Jehovah had uncovered the ear of Samuel one day before the coming of Saul, saying,

BNV : “আগামীকাল ঠিক এই সমযেই আমি তোমার কাছে একজনকে পাঠাবো| সে বিন্যামীন পরিবারের লোক| তুমি তার অভিষেক করে তাকে ইস্রায়েলের নতুন নেতা করবে| এই লোকটিই পলেষ্টীয়দের হাত থেকে আমার লোকদের রক্ষা করবে| আমি তাদের দুঃখ দুর্দশা দেখেছি, আমি তাদের কান্না শুনেছি|”
KJV : To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him [to be] captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
YLT : `At this time tomorrow, I send unto thee a man out of the land of Benjamin -- and thou hast anointed him for leader over My people Israel, and he hath saved My people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen My people, for its cry hath come in unto Me.`
RV : Tomorrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be prince over my people Israel, and he shall save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me:
RSV : "Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen the affliction of my people, because their cry has come to me."
ASV : To-morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be prince over my people Israel; and he shall save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
ESV : "Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have seen my people, because their cry has come to me."
ERVEN : "At this time tomorrow I will send a man to you. He will be from the tribe of Benjamin. You must anoint him and make him the new leader over my people Israel. This man will save my people from the Philistines. I have seen my people suffering, and I have heard their cries for help."

BNV : শমূয়েল শৌলকে দেখতে পেল এবং প্রভু শমূয়েলকে বললেন, “আমি এই লোকটার কথাই তোমাকে বলেছিলাম| সে আমার লোকদের ওপর শাসন করবে|”
KJV : And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.
YLT : When Samuel hath seen Saul, then hath Jehovah answered him, `Lo, the man of whom I have spoken unto thee; this [one] doth restrain My people.`
RV : And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man of whom I spake to thee! this same shall have authority over my people.
RSV : When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him, "Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall rule over my people."
ASV : And when Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah said unto him, Behold, the man of whom I spake to thee! this same shall have authority over my people.
ESV : When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him, "Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people."
ERVEN : When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to Samuel, "This is the man I told you about. He will rule my people."

BNV : ফটকের কাছে শৌল একজন লোকের কাছে পথ নির্দেশ জিজ্ঞেস করতে গেল| ঘটনাচক্রে এই লোকটি ছিল শমূয়েল| শৌল তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “কোথায় সেই দর্শনকারীর বাড়ি আমায় দয়া করে বলে দিন|”
KJV : Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer’s house [is. ]
YLT : And Saul draweth nigh to Samuel in the midst of the gate, and saith, `Declare, I pray thee, to me, where [is] this -- the seer`s house?`
RV : Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer-s house is.
RSV : Then Saul approached Samuel in the gate, and said, "Tell me where is the house of the seer?"
ASV : Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seers house is.
ESV : Then Saul approached Samuel in the gate and said, "Tell me where is the house of the seer?"
ERVEN : Saul went up to a man near the gate to ask directions. This man just happened to be Samuel. Saul said, "Excuse me. Could you tell me where the seer's house is?"

KJV : And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I [am] the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that [is] in thine heart.
YLT : And Samuel answereth Saul and saith, `I [am] the seer; go up before me into the high place, and ye have eaten with me to-day, and I have sent thee away in the morning, and all that [is] in thy heart I declare to thee.

ERVEN : Samuel answered, "I am the seer. Go on up ahead of me to the place for worship. You and your servant will eat with me today. I will let you go home tomorrow morning. I will answer all your questions.

KJV : And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom [is] all the desire of Israel? [Is it] not on thee, and on all thy father’s house?
YLT : As to the asses which are lost to thee this day three days, set not thy heart to them, for they have been found; and to whom [is] all the desire of Israel?` is it not to thee and to all thy father`s house?`
RV : And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And for whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for thee, and for all thy father-s house?

ERVEN : Saul answered, "But I am a member of the tribe of Benjamin. It is the smallest tribe in Israel. And my family is the smallest in the tribe of Benjamin. Why do you say Israel wants me?"
